Walks & Tours

I have a large repertory of walks, tours, and lectures  in my backpack.   I mostly give them for two excellent organisations. London Walks, and Road Scholar.

But during the present crisis, they have all been cancelled.  ButI am working on bringing them back as soon as possible.  Watch this space!.

I’ve been experimenting with Virtual Lectures and Tours, giving one with an audience of over 1,000, and have done 5 virtual tours with London Walks.  I have done my first Podcasts for London Walks.

My next study tour for Road Scholar is …. Well who knows, they tumble like skittles, only a few late ones tottering at the back of the stack, ready for a strike, and next year looking thin.

Virtual Walks for London Walks

My new series of Virtual Tours begins on 18th October 2020 and is a series of archaeological and historical virtual tours taking the story of London from mythical origins to the origins fo Financial London

Road Scholar Programmes

Once upon a safe time in the summer I gave a programme  called ‘London’s Neighbourhoods‘  which is a great short tour of London with a day in the East End taking in the Street Art, a Day in the City, Greenwich and Bermondsey.

Also, I led  one called ‘Quintessential Britain’ which takes in London, Oxford, Bath, Stonehenge, Cotswold, Chester, Wales, Haworth, York, Edinburgh and other places en route.

A list of my walks. lectures, study tours can be found here:
